The Toll Roads Frequent Driver Discount
The Toll Roads accountholders with a prepaid account are eligible for a monthly frequent driver discount. Drivers who spend $40 in tolls on State Routes 73, 133, 241 and 261 during a statement period, receive $1 off every toll accumulated on The Toll Roads the following statement period.
Disabled Veteran Program
Disabled veterans can enroll in The Toll Roads' Disabled Veteran Program to drive toll-free on The Toll Roads (State Routes 73, 133, 241 and 261) and certain other toll facilities in California on and after January 1, 2023, pursuant to Vehicle Code § 23301.3.*
To qualify for the program, drivers must have the following:

- Active FasTrak account with The Toll Roads*
- Valid California vehicle registration with Disabled Veteran Registration Fee Exemption
- Qualifying California veteran license plate**
*If you are an active FasTrak accountholder with another tolling agency, confirm that agency has the proper documentation and designation for you to receive the exemption. Qualifying veterans who do not have a FasTrak account may open an account to enroll in the program.
**As of October 1, 2025, accountholders with The Toll Roads who qualify for the California DMV Disabled Veteran Registration Fee Exemption can drive toll-free on The Toll Roads only (73, 133, 241 and 261 Toll Roads) without displaying a qualifying license plate. The license plate must be issued pursuant to one of the following sections of the California Vehicle Code: 5007, 5101.3, 5101.4, 5101.5, 5101.6, 5101.8. The following California license plate types that qualify:
- Disabled veteran
- Pearl Harbor survivor
- Army Medal of Honor, Navy Medal of Honor, Air Force Medal of Honor, Army Distinguished Service Cross, Navy Cross or Air Force Cross
- Former American prisoner of war
- Congressional Medal of Honor
- Purple Heart
As of October 1, 2025, The Toll Roads have expanded the Disabled Veteran Program for drivers that do not wish to display a veteran plate but qualify for the California DMV Disabled Veteran Registration Fee Exemption. Drivers that qualify for the Registration Fee Exemption, but do not have a qualifying plate, will receive free tolls on The Toll Roads ONLY (State Routes 73, 133, 241 and 261) beginning the day their program enrollment is approved.
Accountholders that receive the Registration Fee Exemption will need to re-enroll in the program after their vehicle registration expires on December 31 of each year. To re-enroll, drivers can email, visit one of our Customer Service Centers or fax their renewed California DMV registration showing that the registration fee exemption has been extended for another year.
If we do not receive this documentation within 15 days of the registration expiration, the exemption will be discontinued, and tolls will apply when using The Toll Roads.
If you have an active FasTrak account with The Toll Roads, please submit the following via email or fax (949) 727-4991 for review:
- Image of the license plate
- Copy of the vehicle’s valid registration
- Number on the transponder mounted on the vehicle (preferably an image of the number)
The Toll Roads will review the information provided and send you an email or letter that either identifies that additional information is necessary, confirms that the vehicle is eligible for the veteran exemption and identifies next steps, or notifies you that the vehicle is not currently eligible for the veteran exemption.

Military Program
Members of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard) serving on Active Duty who drive The Toll Roads (State Routes 73, 133, 241 and 261) without paying and receive a Notice of Toll Evasion in the mail are subject to pay the toll only with no penalties assessed. An Active-Duty member, their spouse or domestic partner must be the registered owner of the vehicle at the time the toll was incurred.
To take advantage of The Toll Roads Military Program, drivers must open a FasTrak account and send a copy of proof of Active Duty to our Customer Service team. This program is a one-time courtesy for Active-Duty members only and cannot be used for tolls incurred prior to January 2016. Only tolls that were incurred while a member of the U.S. Armed Forces is serving on active duty are eligible for this program.
